Che Guevara, whose full name was Ernesto "Che" Guevara, was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary, physician, author, guerrilla leader, and a key figure in the Cuban Revolution. He was born on June 14, 1928, in Rosario, Argentina, and died on October 9, 1967, in La Higuera, Bolivia.

Che Guevara played a significant role in the Cuban Revolution alongside Fidel Castro. He was a close advisor to Castro and served as a military strategist and commander. Guevara was known for his revolutionary ideology, anti-imperialist views, and his belief in armed struggle to achieve social justice and equality.

After the success of the Cuban Revolution in 1959, Guevara held various positions in the Cuban government, including Minister of Industry and President of the National Bank. He played a significant role in the early years of the Cuban government's efforts to implement socialist policies and reduce dependence on the United States.

Guevara also became involved in revolutionary activities outside of Cuba. He supported and participated in revolutionary movements in various countries, including Congo and Bolivia. It was during his time in Bolivia that he was captured and executed by the Bolivian army in 1967.

Che Guevara's image and ideology have had a lasting impact on popular culture and political movements worldwide. His iconic photograph taken by Alberto Korda, featuring Guevara wearing a beret, has become one of the most recognizable symbols of rebellion and revolution. Guevara's writings, including his book "The Motorcycle Diaries," have also contributed to his enduring legacy.
